Taylor Swift misses Travis Kelce’s last game and can’t use usual excuse
Taylor Swift did not attend the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 18 road game against the Las Vegas Raiders despite previously visiting the venue for Super Bowl LVII.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 season concluded with a disappointing finale. With quarterback Patrick Mahomes sidelined for the entire year following an ACL injury and the team knocked out of playoff contention, Kansas City’s offensive unit has appeared utterly unwatchable.
You could scarcely fault star tight end Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for choosing not to show up to the team’s Week 18 clash on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, the last game of the season for Kelce and potentially the last of his NFL career.
Swift has skipped every Chiefs away game in both 2025 and 2024 despite regularly attending numerous contests (including postseason matchups) during the 2023 season (she was present at Arrowhead Stadium last week during Christmas). The 14-time Grammy Award recipient consistently uses a familiar justification for avoiding road games.
“She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately, and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance,” a source revealed to Page Six in 2024. Nevertheless, that excuse can’t be used this time.
Swift has previously attended a Chiefs game at Allegiant Stadium – the Raiders’ home field. She witnessed Kelce and the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVII, meaning her security personnel should be at home with the venue and its arrangements.
