Travis Kelce Got Roasted on Social Media Over Taylor Swift Birthday Plans

Taylor Swift appears lost in thought after ‘talks’ with Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are trying to get back on track after a frustrating stretch of games that included two straight losses, But he has other things to worry about in addition to the Chiefs’ showdown with the New England Patriots on Sunday: Taylor Swift’s birthday.

Swift turned 34 on Wednesday, and multiple outlets reported that Kelce has big plans for his famous girlfriend. Social media, unsurprisingly, also had plenty of jokes about Kelce’s plans. “Taylor I am taking you to All of Garden,” one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a Page Six story, presumably referencing Kelce’s infamous old tweets that surfaced recently in which he misspelled (among other things) the word “squirrel” as “squirle.”

Fake Kelce quotes were a popular genre in response to the news that he has a big birthday planned for Swift. “‘AAAAATENTION Texas roadhouse I have a special birthday guest with me today!'” X user @BetttysCardigan posted. “‘My friend Taylor is turning 34 years old today, so on the count of 3 I need you to stop what you’re doin, swallow what you’re chewin, and give me your loudest proudest Texas-sized yeehaw! 1 2 3 YEEHAW’

“‘It’s not an actual factory and it’s not just cheesecake but you’ll love it,'” @FanSince09 wrote. “‘Babe wait till you see this it’s a rainforest AND a cafe…. all in one,'” @mslauramac joked. Meanwhile, a number of brands saw an opportunity to get into the action. “he’s taking her to Chili’s,” the official Chili’s Grill & Bar account wrote. “We have a place in mind…” KFC’s official account posted.

The logistics of Swift’s birthday celebration won’t be quite as smooth as Kelce’s trip to South America to visit her on her Eras Tour during the Chiefs’ bye week. Kansas City needs a win on the road against the 3-10 Patriots on Sunday after losing four of their last six to fall to 8-5. Foxborough, Massachusetts, isn’t far from New York City, so Kelce’s plans after the game—as well as Swift’s plans to either attend or stay home—will be interesting to watch. One suggestion by a social-media user can probably be ruled out, however: Infamous Cincinnati-based restaurant Skyline Chili. Kelce, who played football at the University of Cincinnati, has expressed his dislike for the polarizing eating establishment.
