Donna Kelce shared a glimpse into her family’s dynamic while revealing which of her four granddaughters reminds her the most of her sons Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce.
While appearing on the Thursday, November 6, episode of daughter-in-law Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Donna, 73, opened up about her granddaughters’ — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 7 months — personalities.
When asked which girl reminds her most of Jason, 37, Donna said “it’s gotta be Wyatt.”
“There was a time when Wyatt, I think she was around 2, and I remember her having a ‘tough moment,’ we’ll call it,” Kylie, 33, recalled of her eldest daughter. “And you were staring at her in a very observant way. And I looked at you and I said, ‘Is it giving you PTSD?’ And you said, ‘A little bit.’”
While Donna quickly decided Wyatt was most like Jason, she had a harder time determining which of Kylie and Jason’s kids is most like Travis, 36.
“Well, it’s usually the second or the third child because they’re the ones that are fearless. And you’re learning with the first child,” Donna explained. “So I would have to say that Ellie probably is the one that throws herself off the couch without abandon. She has no fear.”
However, Donna did note that Bennett has been known to keep her on her toes and she shared a story of when she recently put her in her place. “Just recently, Bennett came up to me, and she says, ‘Now what’s your name again?’ ” Donna said with a laugh.
Kylie agreed that Bennett will “humble you,” adding, “That one’s a little nuts.”
While Donna only had experience raising sons, she said she now knows the difference between raising boys and girls as she’s helped out with her granddaughters.
“The thing that just amazes me is how they will sit down and do a craft for a certain period of time,” she said of her granddaughters. “That wasn’t my experience. It was constantly running around, jumping off of things, getting into trouble, running out the door, starting the car up, you know, when they were three.”
