But to Reid, 26, the “Cruel Summer” songstress has shown the team nothing but kindness. “She’s very, very sweet,” Reid told TMZ. “I don’t understand why she’s getting all the hate.” He even went on to call the pop superstar an “awesome person” and an “awesome artist all around,” which is similar to what some of Swift’s other supporters from the sports world, including Charles Barkley, Stephen A. Smith and Pat McAfee, have also said in her defense.

“The NFL would be foolish not to show (Taylor Swift).” Jason Kelce was asked about the NFL’s attention toward Taylor Swift (his brother’s girlfriend) this season. “(She is) an unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.”@WCPOpic.twitter.com/NBhRwuPiGv

The tight end’s brother, Jason Kelce, also gave Swift props in a recent interview, explaining that the only reason the singer is shown so much during the NFL games she attends is “because the audience wants to see it.” “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it they wouldn’t be showing it, I know that,” the Philadelphia Eagles player stated. “She’s the quintessential artist right now in the world,” he further gushed about his brother’s girlfriend, calling her a, “Singer-songwriter, immensely talented, an unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.” “I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there,” he concluded. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Jason!
