The wider receiver was officially ruled out of Sunday’s AFC Championship game on Saturday due to both undisclosed ‘personal reasons’ and an ongoing hip injury. Toney reportedly welcomed a daughter, his first child, on Saturday night but had also been dealing with the injury, which ruled him out of the last five games. But the 25-year-old appeared to suggest that the Chiefs were lying about his injury as he took to social media.

‘I’m not hurt,’ he claimed. ‘None of that s***. Suck my d***. I’m not hurt, none of that.’ ‘Y’all readin’ all this half-a** s***. … I don’t f*** with y’all. Hip, knee, nuh-uh.’ After being ruled out of Sunday’s showdown against the Baltimore Ravens, Toney will now have missed six games in a row, after returning to feature as a limited participant in training for the second half of this week. His absence is expected to mean that Justin Watson and Mecole Hardman will see more snaps, as Kansas City looks to book its place in the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs flew to Baltimore on Saturday, ahead of the 3pm EST AFC Championship game against the Ravens. The home team are No. 1 seed, with the Chiefs No. 3, but Kelce and Co have found form at the perfect time as they look to seal back-to-back Lombardi trophies.

Last week, the Chiefs beat the Bills in Buffalo, setting themselves up with a sixth straight AFC Championship game. The 27-24 win at a freezing Highmark Stadium was sealed when Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed a game-tying field goal attempt in the last seconds. Kelce was one of the big gamewinners for Kansas City, with five catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
