Christian McCaffrey’s mother, faced with a predicament for the upcoming Super Bowl, has decided to boycott pop star Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, and her music in the lead-up to the big game, which her son will be starring in for the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift-and Kelce-will be among the main headlines before the contest, which is why Lisa McCaffrey, during an episode of her podcast Your Mom, admitted that, despite her love for the Swift-Kelce relationship, the pop star will be “dead to us this week.” “I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days. I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs. If she pops up on the radio station… nope. She’s dead to us this week, McCaffrey said.
A Swift fan who has her music on a running playlist, McCaffrey will understandably be putting that to the side to cheer on her son’s 49ers squad in the big game. She’ll be doing so from a Super Bowl suite, purchased by her son’s fiancee, Olivia Culpo. Super Bowl LVIII will be kicking off on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET from Allegiant Stadium.
