The former NFL star shared his perspective on his brother’s relationship with Taylor Swift on the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast on Tuesday, Sept. 2
Jason Kelce is reflecting on his brother Travis’ love life, days after the NFL star announced his engagement to Taylor Swift.
On the Tuesday, Sept. 2 episode of the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, the Monday Night Countdown analyst looked back on Travis’ past love life — and his road to the altar.
“I think I never lost hope that that would happen. I think he’s just … you’re young, you’re having fun, you’re figuring things out,” Jason, 37, said.
But because of his brother’s “intentions,” the retired Philadelphia Eagles star believed that the tight end would find his end game.
“At all times, I think I know my brother’s intentions,” he said. “Who he is as a person and the values that my parents raised him with how he treats people, how he treats women and all these things, and I think eventually it works out if you go through life with that.”
Jason added, “He lives his life the right way. He’s a great person, he’s unselfish. Everything he does I think would lead to him finding somebody who would want to be with him for all the right reasons and more.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram alongside several photos from their floral-filled garden proposal on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote in the caption. One week after the couple’s engagement news, Jason also shared a shoutout to the music superstar — and said that Swift is a good fit for his brother.
“I love my brother and I just want him to have the most fulfilled, best life possible,” Jason said on Bussin’ with the Boys. “And such a huge part of that is who you end up marrying who you end up raising a family with.”
He added, “I know the kind of person he is and I’ve been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple years and I just think that they match so well together. They are unbelievably supportive of each other.”
