Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce has jokingly confessed that watching girlfriend Taylor Swift’s beloved Christmas film could amount to “torture”,
flat-out refusing to critique the hit movie on his podcast. The NFL ace and his pop star beau are seemingly more loved-up than ever, with rumours swirling about them spending the festive period together.
Us Weekly has spilled the beans, saying that Swift plans to gather both their families for Christmas, replicating the Thanksgiving festivities at her place. Although Kelce and the Chiefs are scheduled to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 25th, chances of the couple cosying up to Swift’s holiday fav, “Love Actually”, are slim.
Amidst sibling banter on the latest “New Heights” podcast episode, the idea was pitched by Jason Kelce’s wife for a ‘Film Club’ review of the 2003 romcom, but Travis quickly extinguished any hope of that happening. Kylie Kelce rang in with her two cents: “‘Love Actually’ is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant others and enjoy.”
She ribbed the Kelce brothers further for repeatedly deflecting romantic movie nights, suggesting: “Because it’s not like one of your significant others hasn’t asked you to watch it multiple times and you said no every time,” nudging them to use this review as the perfect excuse to finally watch the film.
The scene was set for sitcom-style mishaps as Jason seemed perplexed by the film choice, quipping: “Love Actually? ” Meanwhile, Travis wasn’t too keen on enduring the holiday favourite himself, jokingly pleading: “Yeah, don’t f——- torture me; torture your husband. I’m an innocent bystander here, Ky. Don’t f——- come for me.”, reports the Mirror US.
Jason was quick to clear any confusion about their festive film plans, firmly stating: “I think we can both probably agree we’re not doing ‘Love Actually,'” to which Travis chimed in with apparent relief: “Yeah, probably not. I’ll do like a really good Christmas movie, though.”
