The weather conditions in New York did not seem to faze Jason Kelce as the Philadelphia Eagles hit the Big Apple for their season finale against the Giants.
The Eagles posted a montage on social media on Sunday, showcasing the variety of outfits that players wore as they boarded busses to MetLife Stadium. Some players sported dapper suits, while others dressed more winter-friendly in jeans and hoodies. The outfit comes a week after Kelce wore a velour tracksuit – gifted to him by brother Travis – ahead of their New Year’s Eve game against the Cardinals.
After the extremely casual getup gained traction on social media, Jason jokingly complained about the expensive tracksuit on the New Heights podcast. ‘What is it about high-end sweats, that I feel like they’re pretty much the same as low-end sweats, they just start making the drawstring longer?’ Jason said.
‘I feel like that’s the only thing that happens… the longer the drawstring, the more expensive the sweatpants.’ ‘The hoodie is typically bigger as well,’ Travis added, before then asking his brother if he had given away the gift after wearing it once. ‘I didn’t give it to anybody, but I don’t think I’ll be wearing this that frequently, I just… I appreciate it though, it was a good gift,’ Jason replied.’
I appreciate you dressing as me for the New Year’s game,’ Travis then joked. The Eagles were looking to end the season on a good note after losing to the Cardinals in their penultimate regular season game. After enjoying a 10-1 start to the season, the Eagles went 1-4 in their last five before Sunday’s trip to New York. Despite the late-season struggles, the Eagles have cemented a playoff berth.
