Viral photos of a sweaty Travis Kelce and his extremely hairy back have left the internet split… with many sparing a thought for his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The Chiefs legend is currently working hard in the offseason to prepare for what could be his last year in the NFL, and he has been holed up with his pals in Florida. Earlier in the week, Kelce took part in a rigorous Miami workout, and photographers caught the moment he changed his shirt at the end of the session.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, a half-naked Kelce sent the internet into meltdown… and mainly for one reason: the carpet of hair covering his back and chest. The man himself has regularly referenced his hairy body – which has even gained him the nickname ‘The Big Yeti’ – but fans were quick to mention his love life.
‘Taylor Swift is okay with that?’ one wrote on X, while another added: ‘Travis Kelce is hairy as s***. I like a hairy man but sir.’
A third noted: ‘Please, I don’t want to see Travis Kelce’s hairy back any more,’ and one even joked: ‘Wish I could unsee those pictures.’ Just this week on his New Heights podcast, Kelce joked that he was ‘wearing two shirts’, adding: ‘I’m a furry son of a b****.’
Some fans, though, were fawning over the look, with one Swiftie calling his hairy back ‘perfect just like he is.’ Another called him a ‘sexy man’ and said he shouldn’t be embarrassed for his hairy appearance.
In February 2024, Jason revealed the origins of the ‘Big Yeti’ nickname, from Travis’ college days playing sports. ‘When Trav was at Cincinnati, he would play basketball in the playground quite a bit,’ Jason said on New Heights.
‘And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there’s shirts and skins.’ Travis then chimed in: ‘It’s just a big ole Yeti out there, man. All the homies on the court were calling me “Big Yeti”.’
The photos even got as far as other NFL professionals, with legendary quarterback Kirk Cousins weighing in on the photos.
