Mahomes, Kelce headed to Super Bowl after Chiefs shut down Ravens

Chiefs: Travis Kelce's monster AFC Championship shows his historic dominance

It will be the second year in a row they’re headed to the big game, after winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy last year. Kelce scored the first touchdown in the highly-anticipated game during the first quarter. His girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was spotted cheering for the tight end alongside friends Brittany Mahomes, Cara Delevingne and Keleigh Sperry.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had an impressive catch in the first half, managing to grab the ball that he threw, but Baltimore ultimately fell short to Kansas City after three major turnovers by the Ravens. It was a big game for Kelce, who officially tied NFL legend Jerry Rice for the most postseason catches in NFL history.

The week prior, Kelce broke an impressive record with Mahomes, 28, during the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Buffalo Bills. The duo brought their total of career playoff touchdowns together to 16, surpassing the previous record holders, Tom Brady and his longtime tight end Rob Gronkowski, for the most postseason touchdowns by a pair in NFL history.

In addition to Swift, Travis was supported by his brother Jason Kelce, parents Donna and Ed Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce during the game in Baltimore.

Just before the AFC Championship game, the NFL star teamed up with Kodiak Cakes to give out 25,000 meals to Kansas City students. The pair will work with the non-profit, after school program Operation Breakthrough to donate the hot breakfasts. Back in 2022, Kelce, 34, invested in the food brand, which focuses on protein-packed, whole grain breakfast items. The NFL star has worked with Operation Breakthrough over the years through Eighty-Seven & Running, a foundation that the NFL star founded in 2015 focused on mentoring underserved youth. Donna also donated proceeds from her cookie bake sale at Arrowhead Stadium in December to Operation Breakthrough.
