If you’ve not heard, the conditions for Saturday night’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins are going to be very cold.

The temperature is expected to be a brutal -5 degrees at kickoff of the AFC wild-card game, which is absolutely frigid weather to play a football game. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn’t bothered by the freezing pregame temperatures as he watched the NFL game that played before his.

NFL Network reporter James Palmer snapped a video of Mahomes standing alone and watching the other AFC wild-card game between the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns on the Arrowhead Stadium jumbotron. Mahomes was wrapped up in a big football jacket as he watched the game, so it’s not like he was out in a short-sleeved t-shirt or anything. However, we’re guessing he was trying to get acclimated to the freezing winter weather he was about to play in for a chance at the AFC divisional round.
