Taylor Swift has arrived at Arrowhead Stadium flanked by her parents – and Santa Claus – after jetting into Kansas City in time for the Chiefs’ Christmas Day showdown against the Raiders.
The pop star hot footed it across the country on Monday in order to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce in action for Kansas City. With the game against the Raiders kicking off at 1pm ET, Swift set off early on Christmas morning to arrive in time. The singer’s private plane left Nashville around 8am ET before touching down at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport shortly after 10am local time.
Swift was then whisked towards the stadium, making the 12-mile drive with her team before arriving at Arrowhead around 11am. She was carted into the stadium on a VIP golf cart alongside another special guest: Santa Claus, who carried a sack and wore a special Chiefs hat. Merry Christmas!’ Swift said as she made her way into the stadium, while Santa Claus rang a bell. She was soon met by adoring fans, who screamed as she walked towards her suite. There, Swift was seen wearing a Santa hat with 87 – Kelce’s number – stitched in.
Also among the convoy were the singer’s parents, Andrea and Scott. Swift’s father was also alongside hearing at Gillette Stadium last week, wearing a Chiefs jumper as the Chiefs beat the Patriots. On Monday, he was decked out in a Christmas hat and a Christmas sweater for the game. It’s believed to be the first game Andrea Swift has attended with her daughter. Reports earlier this week claimed Swift and Kelce will spend Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City, with the Chiefs back in action on December 31 against the Bengals. She is expected to be at Arrowhead for both games.
The singer has been a common sight in the stands for Chiefs game since her romance with tight end Kelce became public earlier in the season. Swift was in the expensive seats at Gillette Stadium for last week’s win over the Patriots and she was also at the Chiefs’ most recent home game, when they were beaten by the Buffalo Bills.
