20 MINUTES AGO: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Just Announced His Retirement — Kansas City in Total Shock!
In a stunning and emotional announcement just moments ago, Travis Kelce revealed he is officially stepping away from professional football, sending waves of disbelief throughout Kansas City Chiefs Kingdom.
Standing at the podium inside Arrowhead Stadium, Kelce reportedly fought back tears as he addressed reporters and teammates.
“Kansas City will always be home,” Kelce said. “I gave this game everything I had. Now it’s time for the next chapter.”
Fans immediately flooded social media with emotional tributes, highlighting his unforgettable connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a duo widely considered one of the greatest QB–TE partnerships in NFL history.
Since being drafted in 2013, Kelce transformed the tight end position, racking up record-breaking seasons, clutch playoff performances, and multiple Super Bowl championships.
His larger-than-life personality, leadership in the locker room, and impact off the field made him more than just a football star — he became a Kansas City icon.
Crowds have reportedly begun gathering outside Arrowhead Stadium, many wearing No. 87 jerseys in tribute.
Some fans were seen holding signs reading, “Forever Our TE1” and “Thank You, 87.”
While Kelce hinted at future ventures — possibly expanding his media presence and business projects — he made it clear that Kansas City will remain close to his heart.
Is this truly the end of an era for the Chiefs? Or could this be a temporary goodbye?
One thing is certain: Chiefs Kingdom will never forget the legend of No. 87.
